Return policy

Effective January 1, 2004.

We at Angel Sleeping Pet Caskets spare no expense in making sure your purchase arrives at your location in good condition and on time. On the surface the following terms may sound as if we only care about the customers money. Please understand that when an order is received we immediately do our very best to build, line, pack and ship your order in an effort to get it to you as quickly as possible. Each order is designed by you, the customer, and completed accordingly at the time you place your order. 

We understand that customers are usually grieving over a lost pet when ordering a casket and you have our heartfelt sympathy for your loss. It is impossible to change your selections after you complete the order so please be careful at that time to make sure what you are ordering is what you want.

Angel Sleeping Pet Caskets are NOT bought from some wholesaler, marked up, and resold. They are hand made by a master craftsman with over 30 years of experience right here in our workshop. Some 60% to 80% of the price of each pet casket is labor for building the casket. The other 20% to 40% is the cost of the material we purchase for you so we can build your pet casket. By ordering a pet casket from Angel Sleeping Pet Caskets you are, in essence, contracting us to build your precious pet's final resting place. Angel Sleeping Pet Caskets has been in business for over 14 years and in that time we have always made sure what you order is built exactly as you placed the order. All materials and labor involved in this process would be lost if we simply refund the money for any reason. Please try to imagine it this way; Your boss at the place you work comes to you asking you to give back the paycheck you just received because he or she wasn't happy with the work you performed. I don't think you would want to because you did the best job you could with the assumption you would get paid for that work. When you request a refund you are asking me to give my paycheck back after I did what I was asked to do to the best of my abilities.

Please note that the use of our website and the purchase of our products constitutes your acceptance of the terms on this page. If you choose not to agree to and abide by these terms then please visit another pet casket company with our best wishes.

Damaged or Lost in Shipping Instructions:

All orders are shipped insured, at our expense, in the unlikely event they are damaged while in transit. If merchandise is received in a damaged condition please contact us immediately so a claim for damages can be filed on your behalf. DO NOT return damaged merchandise to Angel Sleeping Pet Caskets because we DO NOT refund money for damaged merchandise under any circumstances. UPS usually insists on checking damage claims. All damage should be reported to us immediately so we may contact the shipper to assist you in filing a damage claim. If you elect to keep the damaged merchandise no damage claim will be filed. If you wish to file a claim please call Angel Sleeping Pet Caskets at  so that we may assist you in filing a claim with UPS. 

Item Not Received: No refunds or adjustments for items not received when expected unless due to direct negligence on the part of Angel Sleeping Pet Caskets. Since we have no control over shipping companies we cannot be held responsible for late deliveries due to inclement weather, holidays, breakdowns, or any other reason once merchandise is shipped.

Received Too Late: No refunds or adjustments for items not received "in time". At the time you make your purchase we offer you Ground Service, Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, and 3-Day Select services in an effort to make sure your purchase is available when needed. If you select Ground Service which can take several days depending on your location when Next Day Air Service should have been selected that is not our fault. You are the only one who knows your particular situation. Please take your pets condition into consideration when ordering and allow sufficient time for delivery. Also note that Next Day Air packages that are shipped on Friday will arrive the following Monday, not Saturday because Monday is the next business day to UPS. UPS DOES NOT pickup or deliver on Saturdays. Also please take into consideration that all orders placed before noon on a given work day Monday thru Friday will ship the following day unless the order is received very early and we have time to ship it the same day. We CANNOT AND WILL NOT gaurantee same day shipping. Saturday delivery is available if you contact our office before you place your order. In emergencies where a pet is unable to wait for the casket to arrive please consult your local veterinarian about keeping your pet in cold storage until their casket arrives.

Wrong Size: No refunds or adjustments for items determined to be too small or too large when received so please measure your pet carefully and note the pet casket sizes mentioned at the time of purchase and buy accordingly. All measurements on our caskets are outside measurements. Inside measurements are one and one half  inches less in both width and length when determining the correct size for your pet. Please see What Size To Order for exact measurements.

Wrong Address: No refunds or adjustments if the wrong address is supplied to Angel Sleeping Pet Caskets at the time the order is placed. If the address is incorrect and your order is delivered to the wrong address or not delivered at all that is not our fault. We can only send your purchase to the address you supply to us. Please be careful and double-check the information you enter when you place your order. If UPS is forced to return a package to Angel Sleeping Pet Caskets because it is undeliverable due to customer furnishing a wrong address we will hold your purchase for further instructions but CANNOT issue a refund or adjustment.

Post Office Box Number: No refunds or adjustments if a Post Office box number is supplied to us when you place your order. UPS will not deliver to a Post Office box number so if one is supplied to us we will attempt to contact you for a street address. If undue delays are caused by this we cannot be held responsible.

Address is not in the UPS Data Base: Occasionally when attempting to ship a package we receive this message from UPS telling us that if we ship to the address provided that delivery may be delayed. If the address provided causes such delays we cannot be held responsible because we can only ship to the address you provide. No refunds or adjustments if your package is late or doesn't get delivered for this reason.

Nobody Home: No refunds or adjustments if shipments are re-scheduled due to customer not at location to receive shipment. We do not require a signature for delivery but UPS will sometimes refuse to deliver a package in certain areas without a signature because once a package is picked up by them it is their responsibility to make sure it is delivered safely. We supply you with tracking information when your package leaves Angel Sleeping. It then becomes your responsibility to make sure you or someone designated by you is at the address you supplied to us when package is delivered. In the event a customer specifically requests no signature required and UPS usually requires one for a specific area we will not be held responsible for damaged or lost packages because of this request.

Change Your Mind: No refunds or adjustments if you simply change your mind after ordering. All Angel Sleeping Pet Caskets are custom made to your specifications when you place your order. We go to a great deal of expense in manufacturing, handling, packing, and shipping your purchase. When returned to us, all packing and shipping materials must be replaced at our expense with new packing and shipping materials before merchandise can be resold. (The custom made shipping carton alone can cost us as much as $15 depending on the size.)  Additionally we must pay someone to unpack, inspect, repair, restock, and then pull, pack, and reship when the casket is resold. Add to this 3% merchant account management fees for each of two sales and the cost of order processing. For this reason we are unable to make refunds or adjustments for any reason other than defects in workmanship as outlined above.

Cancellations: Once an order has been placed with us for processing we may have to go to a great deal of expense to stop the order. When an order is received it goes immediately to processing. Depending on where in processing the order is, it may be impossible to stop it without our losing all materials involved in completing the order. For this reason we can only accept order cancellations if received within 2 hours of when the order is placed on the web site. Sorry, no exceptions.

Color Variations: The colors of our pet caskets and the linings used are displayed on our web site, to the best of our ability, using photos taken with a 6.1 megapixel digital camera. These colors may vary slightly from those displayed on your computer due to a lot of factors. As you well know, no two pieces of wood are exactly the same. Internet connections and computers can cause variations in color. If a pet casket is received and the color you select is not exactly what was expected we cannot be held responsible for such a difference as this is clearly not our fault. It is also important to be careful in making your selections as to color and lining materials as we can only fill your order based on what you request. Sorry, no refunds or adjustments for this reason.

Special Orders: Occasionally we are asked to build a special size, color, or use a special lining fabric that is not normally offered on this web site. Once these orders are placed we must order paints, stains, or fabrics that we use to fill these orders. Special order pet caskets are non-refundable under any circumstances because we are unable to recover our losses after we order the materials required.

At Angel Sleeping Pet Caskets we always strive to do the best work possible. We take great pride in every finished pet casket. Quality is very important to us. Due to the fact that all our products are made of wood it is possible or even likely that the pet casket you receive may differ slightly from those pictured on this website. No two pieces of wood are exactly the same. We do our best to insure customer satisfaction on every pet casket we build but we cannot be held responsible for such differences.

We provide all products for sale contained on this web site on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no  express or  implied warranties with respect to the use of our products (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF FITNESS,MERCHANTABILITY, NONINFRINGEMENT, OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF THE COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, DEALING OR TRADE USAGE).
